Sunshine special school

The Kanji Project provides funding to enable 16 children with special needs to learn and socialise together, providing valuable respite care and skills.

Support for special needs children

In India there is very little provision for children with learning and/or physical disabilities. These children are often marginalised in Indian Society.

The children at the Sunshine Special School learn to socialise through playing games together.

Developing social skills

The Sunshine Special School provides a warm and caring environment where these vulnerable children can learn new skills, receive therapy and can be medically assessed and monitored.

Children are given help with their physical disabilities, often on a one-to-one basis.

Physical Disabilities

With day care places for 16 children with learning and physical disabilities, the school allows the children to socialise with other children, opening up their world and enabling them to be more confident.
